It has been lovely getting to know all the children over the last 6 weeks. The children have settled well and they are enjoying exploring the resources and activities.
What a wonderful week this week has been. We’ve been exploring, learning and having fun together! This week, we dived into family life using our doll's house. The children loved introducing their personalised pupil figurines and acting out their own storylines. It’s been a fantastic way for them to develop social skills and build their imaginations.
We also had lots of fun developing our core strengths and fine motor skills through tabletop mark making with shaving foam. The children enjoyed drawing shapes and lines in the foam, which helped build their hand muscles and coordination whilst enjoying sensory play.
We explored our counting skills in the maths area by putting little people onto our bus cut-outs. This allowed the children to be introduced to and practice their counting and number recognition while having lots of fun.
Our 'Shop' role play area continued to be a favourite spot where children pretended to be shopkeepers and customers. This provided opportunities for the children to use their language and social skills.
Outside, the children transformed into 'builders' using foam blocks and builder’s tools. Some even pretended to build houses, showing great creativity and teamwork. At the easel, children used crayons to draw pictures of cars, mummy, daddy, and even copied some shapes.
Our new mud kitchen has been a big hit! The children loved mixing, stirring and experimenting with natural materials, and they’ve really enjoyed taking part in hands-on sensory exploration.
We’re looking forward to even more fun and learning next week.
Have a lovely weekend!
