Little Lambs Learning

Week beginning - 14th April

This week at nursery, we have been exploring dinosaurs—and what a hit it has been!

The children have been fully engaged in a range of activities that supported their learning across different areas of development. Using dinosaurs, they explored early maths skills such as sizing and weighing, comparing different shapes and discussing which dinosaurs were bigger or heavier.

They also developed their literacy and fine motor skills through mark making, as well as their imaginative thinking during small world play. The children showed great creativity as they built houses for their dinosaurs, working together to design and construct their ideas as a team.

We also revisited the much-loved story Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell. The children enjoyed retelling the story using hands-on story boxes and masks, bringing the characters to life and building their confidence in storytelling.

It has been a fantastic week full of creativity, collaboration, and curiosity!
