Weekly Blog-17.07.26

The penultimate week of Year 5 has drawn to a close. In maths, we consolidated prior knowledge, having concluded the maths curriculum last week. In English, we edited our independent pieces of writing on the Cloud Tea Monkeys. In Science, we continued to look at living things and their habitats. Elsewhere, we concluded our geography topic on deserts, and concluded our music topic, focusing on Balanese music. In PE, we have enjoyed rounders and dodgeball. 'Habitats' in Spanish has continued, and a skills showcase with the Mars Rover has also concluded in computing. Christianity has been the focus in RE and citenzenship has been the focus in RSE. We look forward to the mayhem ensued in the final week!

Key information

PE will take place on Monday and Wednesday. Please come into school wearing your PE kit on these days.

Homework will be set online and reading books will be sent home on a Friday and must be returned on Wednesday. Reading records need to be filled in at least three times a week and signed by an adult at home and brought into school by Friday for us to check.

Please remember to send your child in with a water bottle and a healthy snack.
