In Maths, we have continued our work on fractions, focusing on equivalent fractions. The children have been using practical resources and diagrams to help them understand how different fractions can represent the same amount.

In English, we are thoroughly enjoying our class book, How to Catch a Star. This week, we have been looking closely at the character's feelings and emotions, thinking deeply about how he might be feeling at different points in the story and using evidence from the text to support our ideas.

In RE, we discussed why the Qur'an is important to Muslims. The children learned about the significance of the holy book and how it guides Muslims in their daily lives. They asked some thoughtful questions and showed great respect during our discussions.

Colour book band reading book and a library book.

Please find the Summer 2 timetable below:

This half-term, PE will take place on Thursdays. Children are required to come into school wearing PE kit.

Homework (spelling and Doodle) reading books and a library book will be sent home on Fridays and must be returned on Wednesdays.  

Reading records need to be filled in at least three times a week and signed by an adult at home and brought into school on Wednesdays for us to check. 

Please remember to send your child in with a water bottle. A healthy snack will be provided at break time.
