In year 6 this week…

This week in math’s we have learnt the order of operations (brackets, order, division, multiplication, addition and then subtraction). We have carried on with long and short division, dividing with and without remainders.

In English we have finished our sentence stacking about pet peeves (thing that annoy us) and look forward to writing our independent writes. We enjoyed doing sentence stacking about pet peeves as we got to express our ideas.

In reading we have carried on reading our book holes and finding out more about Stanleys and Zeros relationship. We have used vipers to answer and solve questions.

In science we looked at viruses and how quickly they spread. We decided in role if we were security at an airport and  arrivals passenger died with a virus. We had to figure out what to do to contain the spread.
