Literacy 

In English this week, we will be exploring the non-fiction book 'Meet the Weather' and using the Write Stuff approach to help us write our own weather reviews.

This week in phonics we will continue to review Phase 3 GPCs: ai, ee, igh, oa, oo, ar, or, ur, oo, ow, oi, ear.

There are no new tricky words in Spring 2 but please do continue to practise all the tricky words we have learnt so far.

Please continue to practise phonics sounds and tricky words at home.

Please ensure that reading books and reading records are sent into school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and please sign each time your child reads.

Continuous Provision

This week the children will be:

Matching Numicon pieces to their numerals in F1 maths.

Exploring number bonds to 10 in F2 maths.

Role-playing the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears in our house.

Using design cards to copy and build models.  

Practising reading and writing tricky words. 

Creating sunshines and rainbows as we explore the weather.

Writing describing sentences to accompany pictures.

Along with many other exciting activities!
