Foundation Stage F2 (Reception 4 - 5 year olds) Admissions

The Foundation stage F2 reception window opens on Monday 3rd November 2025 and closes on Thursday 15th January 2026. Applications can not be accepted prior to this date.

Hertfordshire County Council manage the process and will be sending information out to all parents of children living in Hertfordshire and born between 01/09/2021 - 31/08/2022.

The leaflet is usually sent out mid October, but further information is available on their website:

How to Apply for a place at St Peter's Primary School

We have our own supplementary information form which must be completed for making an application for a reception (F2) place at St Peter's Primary.

The supplementary Information form must be completed by the parents/carers and returned directly to the school. Form available below.

Parents/carers wishing to apply under the 'worship criterion must submit with the supplementary information form a letter from the priest on Minister.

Parents/Carers must provide a copy of a council tax bill for the current year and a copy of your child's birth certificate, failure to comply will result in your application to not be considered and therefore invalid.

Timeline

Primary Admissions – Children born 01/09/2021 - 31/08/2022

Monday 3rd November 2025 – Online admissions system opens

Thursday 15th January 2026 – Closing date for applications

Thursday 16th April 2026 – School offers made

Thursday 23rd April 2026 – Deadline for parents to accept places

11 – 15 May 2026- First continuing interest run.

County will contact you with an offer of a new school place, if you're successful at the first continuing interest run.

15 – 19 June 2026- Second (and final) continuing interest run.

We'll contact you with an offer of a new school place, if you're successful at the second continuing interest run.
