    Foundation Stage F2 (Reception 4 - 5 year olds) Admissions

    The Foundation stage F2 reception window opens on Monday 2nd November 2026 and closes on Friday 15th January 2027. Applications can not be accepted prior to this date.

    Hertfordshire County Council manage the process and will be sending information out to all parents of children living in Hertfordshire and born between 01/09/2022 - 31/08/2023.

    The leaflet is usually sent out mid October, but further information is available on their website:

    How to Apply for a place at St Peter's Primary School

    We have our own supplementary information form which must be completed for making an application for a reception (F2) place at St Peter's Primary.

    The supplementary Information form must be completed by the parents/carers and returned directly to the school. Form available below.

    Parents/carers wishing to apply under the 'worship criterion must submit with the supplementary information form a letter from the priest on Minister.

    Parents/Carers must provide a copy of a council tax bill for the current year and a copy of your child's birth certificate, failure to comply will result in your application to not be considered and therefore invalid.

    Timeline

    Primary Admissions – Children born 01/09/2022 - 31/08/2023

    Monday 2nd November 2026 – Online admissions system opens

    Friday 15th January 2027 – Closing date for applications

    Friday 16th April 2027 – School offers made

    Friday 23rd April 2027 – Deadline for parents to accept places

    10 – 14th May 2027- First continuing interest run.

    County will contact you with an offer of a new school place, if you're successful at the first continuing interest run.

    14 – 18th June 2027- Second (and final) continuing interest run.

    We'll contact you with an offer of a new school place, if you're successful at the second continuing interest run.

    Please note our coffee mornings will take place after our open morning tour. Please do let us know if you would like to stay for the coffee morning.

    • Tuesday 6th October: 9-10.30am

    • Tuesday 3rd November: 9-10.30am

    • Tuesday 8th December: 9-10.30am

    • Tuesday 12th January: 9-10.30am

    Open Evenings:

    • Wednesday 14th October: 5-6pm

    • Wednesday 2nd December: 5-6pm
